Leaving on a Jet Plane

I am finished with finals! YAY! I took my last test on Wednesday and I feel pretty good about everything. My medical terminology final was...fun. I made up some wicked medical conditions and had a couple "I have no clue" answers. HAHA! Good times right there. :) My grades will be ready next Wednesday. I know I have two A's right now. WOO! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for two more A's in my other classes.

A little bit of tragic news now. Well not so much tragic, as I'm mostly going to complain about being an adult. LOL! My laptop seems to be taking a dive for the worse. I was taking my online communications final on Tuesday night and my laptop died in the middle of my test! AHHH NOOO! Luckily, my professor reset the test and I got to complete it. WHEW! I think I'm going to have to buy a new computer in the near future, though. :/ Unfortunately, school is not cheap. My loans only cover a small portion of my tuition so I'm left to make monthly payments that could quite honestly pay for a nice apartment. That and I'm trying to pay as much as I can towards my loans so I don't graduate with a mountain of debt. Truth is, when I start working in my new field, I'll start at the bottom and take a decent pay cut which means less money to pay for loans. All signs point towards me loving this so it honestly doesn't scare me too much - I just have to be financially smart in the meantime. It mostly means sacrificing vacations, driving an old car, being and adult and all that crapola. Geh. Planning for the future kinda blows! :P

I leave for San Francisco in about three hours! WOOT WOO! I'm so excited! I had a plane ticket I bought last year that I never used (thank you very much, butthead), so I was lucky and flipped it over for a small price. HUZZAH! I love school, but having a little bit of time off is going to rule! I only have a week off, but it's all good...I start doing rounds & clinic next quarter! EEEE!

One week 'til SF!

I leave for San Francisco in one week! WOOHOO!

Goin' Blading! :D

So I bought some new rollerblades this weekend! WOOT WOOT! They are an awesome pair of K2's (see pic). I had been thinking about buying a beach cruiser bike, but wasn't sure I wanted to spend a couple hundred dollars on something I wasn't positive I'd love. I already know I love to rollerblade, so I bought a nice, new pair. I might buy a cheaper bike from Target to see how much I ride it then buy a nice one next year... Anyways, my friend Katie bought some new rollerblades too! YAY! We went down to the Jordan River Parkway trail yesterday and skated for a while. We didn't do too much because it's been at least two years for me and a lot longer for her since we've last skated, so it made our feet sore! BUT...we're probably going again tomorrow night and any time we have free! I honestly love to rollerblade. Back in the day, I'd skate for an easy 10 miles after work along the trail. I can't wait for the weather to keep getting warmer and to get out even more! It's sooo lovely! :D

School is winding down. Reviews this week, finals next week! I have some studying to do this week and next weekend, but I'm not too nervous. This quarter has been great and I'm already looking forward to starting new classes soon.

Che'mon, Spring!

Somehow I was able to look at my blog today...at work! I was going to post something, but I was nervous. I felt like I was committing a crime or something, so I hurry and logged off. HAHA! Maybe the whole blocking thing was just some IT dude being cranky and he's better now. Maybe he drank a Red Bull or got some. Either way, I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can access my blog at work again.

Life continues to truck along for Miss Lola Grizzle and me. I only have about two weeks of school left this quarter. Woohoo! So far I'm on track to get A's in all of my classes. Hopefully I do well on my finals! Lola is just doing her thing. Her plucky little attitude never fails to amaze me. I make every effort to be home as much as I can, but regardless, she's just a happy little soul.

I'm going to San Francisco to see my cousins in about two weeks. I have a week off in between quarters, so I'm taking advantage and going away for a long weekend. Then in April, I'm going to Moab and 4-wheeling later in the month. Should be a fun couple weeks coming up!

Restraint

This post is going to be all about restraint! Eh? With NO access to my blog at work, I decided I need to post shorter, more frequent posts. I bet everyone is saying "YES!" right now! HAHA! I know...I tend to ramble. My "free" time isn't really existent anymore and I just don't have time to sit and type and type... Well, not right now at least. :)

I learned and practiced cat restraints tonight. I've dealt with stray, wild cats before and they are seriously evil! They scare me more than a big, angry dog! Oh and I've also had my arm randomly attacked by the Devil Cat (aka, George). Heh! Anyways, it went well. The cats at the school were pretty mellow. They eventually got pissy, but who wouldn't when they're being stretched in strange positions? There was one cat that was sooo cute, though! He was seriously so mellow and chill! I loved him! It took serious restraint to not sign to adopt him! So...if anyone wants a kick-ass, cool cat, let me know. I'm not lying when I say he's very cute and SWEET and cuddly! If he doesn't get adopted, I might have to figure something out until I can find him a home. It was kismet...or kitty-met! XD

Life is busy, but super. Life tends to get to me and I stress about things I can't control, but rather than unleash frustration and anger on people I care about, I'm restraining. Sometimes it's just not worth it. Ehhh...restraint.
