Go VISIT! Happiness will follow!

If you have a one minute and 27 seconds, go visit my friend Sara Lizbeth's blog! Here's the link:

There's a video at the bottom of her post, "The 9 monther!" It's soooo cute! I'm pretty sure baby laughter could cure the world of all problems - I know it made me feel better today. :) xoxoxAC

Important Update

It's 10:40 PM and I'm still up...supposed to wake up at 5 AM for the gym. *yawn* I'm studying for my Anatomy midterm on Tuesday...or is it Thursday?? Crap. Lola is on my (read: her) bed either having a seizure or she's just dreaming. She's snoring now. Dream.

Here kitty, kitty!

I hate starting blog posts. I don’t have issues coming up with titles or rambling on in them, but starting them...bleh. I seriously stare at my screen for a good 5-10 minutes or give up and come back hours later sometimes. Do I start with “well, this and that” or “just an update...”. Meh.

So yeah...we started dissecting cats in class last night. I hate to sound morbid but it was seriously awesome! I was a little nervous about the smell and the whole dead animal thing, but once we started it was just frickin cool. The animal body is amazing. I mean you talk about arteries and eyeballs and how they work and what they look like, but actually touching them and opening them up and seeing everything inside...WOW! Okay. I just went into detail about what we actually did last night, but I changed my mind. I realize that others don’t share my same fascination with science and all things gooey. Let me just say that we did some stuff last night to prepare to actually open them up next week. If you want more details, you can text me. :)

Anyways, I am in my fifth week of this quarter already! As in next week is week six...the half way point...midterms! GEH! I can’t believe how fast this quarter is flying! Aside from the cat dissections, I’ve also been working a ton with blood - preparing slides, learning to use different microscopes, doing different blood tests and chemical profiles. Ah I love it! I honestly still get scared about spending all this money on a career that doesn’t pay a ton or making this huge decision to pretty much change my life, but then I do different procedures or learn something new and I just get the feeling that I’m doing what I was always meant to do. I can’t even imagine how much I’m going to enjoy my upcoming classes when I get to do even more!

This week has been so super busy. I’ve had a ton of homework, late night classes, work has been busy...I’m honestly exhausted. I’ll be busy studying for midterms this weekend, but hopefully it’ll slow down a little after that. I haven’t been to the gym since Monday morning, but I’m still planning on the 10K in June. Regardless of my time, I’m doing it! Oh and my friend Katie signed up this week. WOO! I will mention that I’ve been eating like a pro - yeah! At the very least, there are parts of my life that are in good, working order. LOL!

I hope everyone has a fabuloso weekend! xoxoxAC
