The Friend-izzles

Not a lot happening right now. Lola and I are gearing up for the big move and that's about it. Oh and it's getting warmer. *insert sarcasm here* I'm so happy that I decided to move in the middle of the summer...again.

Here are some pics of the pack wreaking havoc for Katie's birthday at Liquid Joe's. Oh and you're welcome for the witty comments on each. XD

Kate: Contemplating the waffle.
Darton: Wanting a waffle.

Katie: I wonder if I can make my teeth look bigger than AC's?!?!
AC: You fail! FA-CHINK!

Katie: My bangs hurt!
Kate: Grin and bare it!
AC: Did I eat garlic for lunch?? HAAA!

Jeff: I love you, man!
Zach: No, man! I love you!

Kate: Rockin' the cow horns! WOO!

Katie: DAMMIT! I should've given it my best makeout face!

AC: This is myyyy makeout face!

Happy Birthday, Mudda!

The baby cousins are in town, going to get all girl-ed up today, it's the elephant's birthday on Saturday! WOO! Who could ask for a better weekend?!?!

I'm working a half day today, then me, my mom, Aunt Lou, and Grandma Lou are going to our "girl" on - facials, pedicures and manicures! YAY! My mom's birthday is on Saturday which also happens to coincide with the elephant's birthday at Hogle Zoo! They're celebrating by passing out 1,000 cupcakes! Ahhh yeah...bring on the screaming children and frosting delight! LOL! Saturday night, the whole fam-damily is gathering for Mexican Fiesta for my mom's birthday! Can you believe my mom's been here for a whole 35 years?! BUWAHAHAHAHA! AND...it's Father's Day on Sunday! We're celebrating by going to a baseball game. Nothing says family together-ness like ballpark hot dogs and beer! :D

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Cupcake dreams for all!

Happy Birthday, my Mudda! I love you always! :)

Pig 'n Boots

This may be the cutest thing I've EVER seen... :D

Mud phobia pig gets its own boots

A piglet scared of wallowing in mud has overcome its fears with the help of some Wellington boots.

Six-week-old Cinders appears to suffer from mysophobia, a fear of dirt, after refusing to join her siblings as they splashed around in the mud.

Owner Andrew Keeble from Thirsk, North Yorks, said his daughter Ellie, 12, suggested kitting her out in the tiny footwear which had been on a key ring.

"Lo and behold they fitted her like a glove," Mr Keeble said.

"She's scared of mud, but her brothers and sisters are quite happy in it.

"We've never come across this before. They are born really to go and explore, but she never really liked going in the mud."

Mr Keeble and wife Debbie, both 42, run a sausage company and keep about 200 pigs on their 1,000-acre farm.

But the father-of-four said there was no chance that Cinders would be slaughtered.

"She's more of a pet really now and she's going to live a very long and happy life," he said.

The young saddleback has been chosen by the couple as a mascot for their campaign to raise money for the Farm Crisis Network, which supports struggling farmers.

D.E.T.A.

I love my mom. Apparently, our neighbors were trying to move a cow through the neighborhood last Friday by pulling it with a Rhino. Mean!!! I know when I personally think of herding cattle, 4-wheelers, Rhinos and ropes come to mind. Riiiight. Anyway, she YELLED at them, got things straightened out and got the stressed-out little cow back into the pasture. Score one for D.E.T.A.! Debbie for the Ethical Treatment of Animals! WOO! Pamela Anderson would be so proud! LOL!

Move 'em on!

Well I think Lola and I have found a place to live. It's a nice little apartment community in Murray. It's not super nice like where I've been living, but it's not bad either. It is, however, in a magnificent location! I'll be right close to the freeway and Traxx. My goal is to get a hot pink cruiser bike and start riding it to the train, then take the train to work. I'll be saving money and the environment! WOO! This move will also mark my first time living alone... Yeah, scary. Granted, my roommate hasn't been around too much, but I guess just the thought that no one will unexpectedly walk in and catch me baking (read: walking around in the nude) will be AWESOME! LOL! I'm super excited to get my own place. Hopefully in the next couple years I'll be able to BUY my own. Anyway, all of this moving got a song stuck in my head: Rawhide! I mean who doesn't associate moving boxes with herding cattle? Yeah! For your reading pleasure...

Move em up (head em up)
Head em up (move em on)

Cut em out (ride em in)

Recession

The President is full of it! We're in a recession. Soda went up $0.10 at my work. TEN CENTS! When have you ever heard of putting $0.60 into a machine for can of Coke? Gas, food, housing...now Coke?!?! Meh. Downward spiral, I tell ya. Good thing I'm giving up carbonated beverages (again) tomorrow. Yep.
