News on The Grizzle
I took Lola to the vet last night to have a little sore on her leg looked at. I originally thought she'd maybe gotten a sticker and it'd become infected, but it turned out to be a lump. A mass cell tumor to be exact. The vet did a needle biopsy to look at the cells and they think it may be cancer. Yeah. Ouch. There's still a chance that it could be benign, but Lola has to have surgery next week to get it removed and determine the stage. If it's only a Stage I, then chances are good she'll be fine with no further treatment. Stage II will most likely require chemotherapy and/or radiation with a 65% chance of recovery. Stage III is bad...less than 10% of dogs make it more than two months. I keep reminding myself to be positive - it could be benign. I just really don't want to lose my little dog.

Miranda Lambert, "I Just Really Miss You"
Lyrics to one of my favorite songs by Ran. I think the reason I love country music so much is I can always find a song that fits my mood. Yeah...this one just seems to fit right now.
"I Just Really Miss You"
There's a dark cloud hanging over my heart
I can't see where it ends, or where it starts.
I should get over you, but baby, it's so hard,
with this dark cloud hanging over my heart.
There's a sad song ringing in my head.
Baby, it's been here ever since you left.
I should be moving along how far would I get
with this sad song ringing in my head.
[Chorus]
I just really miss you, I just really miss you,
There's a life I can't ask you to leave.
I just really miss you, right now I kinda want to.
The closest that you'll ever be to me is free.
There's a hard wind blowing through this town.
And nothing left to hold is pushing me down.
It blows over you and me without a sound.
There's a hard wind blowing through this town.
[Chorus]
I just really miss you, I just really miss you,
There's a life I can't ask you to leave.
I just really miss you, right now I kinda need to.
The closest that you'll ever be to me is free.
Now it's one more night at the upside down,
it's ten steps in, and hundred miles back out.
[Chorus]
I just really miss you, I just really miss you,
There's a life I can't ask you to leave.
I just really miss you, right now I kinda need to.
The closest that you'll ever be to me is free.

Glorious Tent, Part Two
I went with the fam yesterday to Cabela's to pick up my new tent! By the way, apparently going to Cabela's on Sunday afternoons has become our new weekely ritual, because we've gone the past three Sundays in a row! LOL! Anyway, we brought it home and set it up. It's sooo nice and easy! I'm going to take it camping up to the Uintas this weekend before the hunt in September. Here are some pics of it in our backyard, with my dad doing his best The-Price-Is-Right-modeling impression. Yep.

I had a lovely weekend hanging out with the fam from Southern Utah. I got to meet my new baby cousin, Kayden. He's sooo cute! I never had my camera with me when I held him, but I'll get some pics posted soon! Also did a little yard work with my uncle J-Lo and aunt Lou. AND...of course we took an awesome 4-wheeler ride up to Shay Ridge. I had a great weekend - just too short, as always! And I know I always say it, but my cousins are so frickin' cute and funny! I love them! Here are some pics... :)

Glorious Tent
I'm gearing up (literally) to go hunting with my dad & brother next month. I bought a new, super-duper tent from Cabela's yesterday! It's supposed to keep the heat in, hold out water, withstand heavy weather and just be an all-out bad-ass tent! WOO! We'll be camping for about four days and it never fails to snow at least once. I slept in the camp trailer with my dad, my brother and buddy Jared last year. Let's just say that all that snoring, sleep talking and all around boy-stuff made me want my own tent like no other! HAHA! I'm sooo excited to go! To say I love camping and being in the mountains would the understatement of the year! :D

Breaking Dawn...done :(
Well I finished the fourth (and final) book of the "Twilight" series. I was thinking of taking it a little slow with this one, but it sucked me in and I finished it in two days! HAHA! The book was pretty great. I wasn't disappointed, but I didn't feel satisfied either. For me, it didn't live up to awesome-ness of the first three novels, but I still liked it. That and it was kind of all over the place - so many things happening! I need to join a book club just to discuss what happened and hear other people's thoughts on it! LOL! I'm going to give it a few weeks and go back and read it again. I am a little sad that the saga is over, though. While I find it a little hard to believe that people can adore each other so much and have it never wear off, I did love the way Bella thought about Edward and 'hearing' her thoughts. Her words and their love story put butterflies in my stomach! Stephenie Meyer is quite the writer! I hope everyone else enjoyed (enjoys) it! :)
