My Cousins are Cuter Than Yours.

What the?!?! I have a child!

When I was younger, my mom would have to come into my room, flip on the light and rip the covers off of me to get me out of bed in the mornings. I'm a little better at it now, but having to leave the warm cocoon that is my bed in the mornings just feels like punishment! Anyway, every once in a while, she'd come sit on my bed and rub my back and sweetly tell me that it was time to get up (I love you for those times, my Mudda). Yeah...I found myself doing that this morning...to MY DOG! LOL! About two seconds after I crawl out of bed in the mornings, Lola will burrow under my covers and sleep until I make her wake up to go outside to potty. I wake her up by pulling back the covers, rubbing her belly and softly telling her it's time to get up! WHAT THE?!?! Every once in a while she's hell-bent on staying in bed, so I have to rip back the covers, smack my hands together and tell her to get her hairy ass out of bed! LOL! I apparently have a child!

Memorial Day Weekend 2008

Well...after a little bit of a rough start, I made it down to Monticello! YAY! The weather was back and forth...mostly back, as in COLD and RAINY! But, it did clear up long enough to give us one beautiful day for some awesome 4-wheeling! Honorable mentions of the weekend...

...Getting stuck in the Rhino with Breckyn & Chuck and then Breckyn telling me I should try putting it in gear! HAHAHA! Love that kid!

...Riding with Ashley on the long, jump-filled trail! So fun! GIRLS RULE!

...J-Lo's magical dutch-oven potatoes! MMMM!

...Lola Grizzle, aka Dirt Dog, aka Camp Dog, aka My Bub! She always makes me smile and laugh whether she's chasing me on the Rhino, sneezing, digging in the sand, or just cuddling up to me at night. :)

...Being able to spend time with my little cousins. They're getting so big! I will never get tired of their cute faces asking ME (of all people!) to take them for a ride or to help them on their 4-wheeler!

...Laughing by the campfire with my aunts & uncles. Between the sound effects and stories...I learned waaaay too much this weekend! BUWAHAHAHAHA!

Weeellll...after much deliberation, I'm going camping this weekend. It's been predicated to be a soggy, windy weekend, but what the hell? I figure it's better than sitting at home, right? Well that and my cute aunt that I for some reason CANNOT SAY "NO" TO called me this morning and fooled me into thinking the weather's going to get better! I hope she's right. Lola hates the rain! LOL! BRING ON THE MUD! Have a happy, safe Memorial Day weekend all!

Hey ya'll! Sorry for the lack of posting lately! Life's been crazy! Good, but definitely crazy! A few things...

...I made a baby blanket for my friend Natalie this weekend. With the help of my roomie, Katie, we churned out a cuuuute pink flannel & Levi quilt! The awesome part of it all is we didn't start until 10 PM on Friday night! HAHA! But, some cinnamon candy, frozen coke and country music kept us going til 3 AM! Also, muchas gracias to my Auntie Angie for helping us tie the quilt last-minute. I have to say I'm very proud...it was my first quilt I sewed solely on my own! Thanks to my mudda for passin' on some of her "Crafty Biotch" skillz!

...My favorite, Miranda Lambert, won Album of the Year on the Country Music Awards show last night!! WOOHOO! Congratulations, Miranda!

...I have my second guitar lesson with my new teacher tonight. Henceforth, he shall be known as "Guitar Mat". WOO! I picked up the guitar back in high school, but just never really got into it and let it go until about two months ago. I don't know what happened, but now it seems to be all I think about! I'm able to play a few songs I've learned all the way through now and maybe one day I'll be able to write a few of my own! Now I just need to get my brother to start drum lessons, so we can form our own band..."The Junior Cooners"! BUWAHAHAHAHA!

...So sad. My roommate, Katie, has decided to move in with her boyfriend when our lease expires in July. I've loved living with Katie soooo much and I've even grown to love her pooch, Charlie (aka Charlotte). I was tossing around the idea of moving back in with my buddy, Darton, but I've decided that I want to try living on my own for a while. It'll be a little more expensive, but I'm gonna give it a go until I decide where I want to plant myself and the Grizzle for good.

That's it for now. I'm headed down to Southern Utah this weekend for some 4-wheelin' and hot-dog eatin' with some of my favorite peeps in the whole world! I hope everyone has a GREAT week and and even better holiday weekend! Hugs & kisses to all!

When Cardboard Men Come In Handy

A car gets a flat on the interstate one day. The blonde driver eases it over onto the shoulder of the road, carefully steps out of the car and opens the trunk. She takes out two cardboard men, unfolds them and stands them at the rear of the vehicle facing oncoming traffic.

The life-like cardboard men are in trench coats exposing their nude bodies and private parts to approaching drivers. Not surprisingly, the traffic becomes snarled and backed up.

It isn't very long before a police car arrives. The office, clearly enraged, approaches the blonde of the disabled vehicle yelling loudly, "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?"

"My car broke down, officer. I'm so glad you're here", says the woman calmly.

"Well, what the hell are these obscene cardboard pictures doing here by the road?!" he asks.

"Helllooooooo!!!" says the blonde. "Those are my emergency flashers!"

Bring on the Debauchery!

So I'm headed out to Wendover this weekend with some of the girls. Every time I think about Wendover, I'm reminded of "National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation" with Chevy Chase peering out of the limo window on the strip, chanting, "Vegas! Vegas! Vegas!" Granted, Wendover is no Vegas. In truth, I think of it as Vegas' armpit. HAHA! But, if you're looking for some cheesy bands in sequins, fun gambling, and cocktails, then it ROX!

In addition, I'm getting my tattoo tonight! Ahhh yeah!

Nothing like a little sin to make ya feel all fresh in the morning! WOO!
